Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence cable over the passing of Academician Sergey Hambardzumyan. The message reads in part:

“I was deeply sorrowed to learn the passing of Academician Sergey Hambardzumyan.

The activities carried out by the great Armenian scientist, honest intellectual and public figure, deserve high appreciation. Sergey Hambardzumyan’s scientific, pedagogical and public work that lasted for many decades was highly productive and fruitful.

The well-known scientist and research organizer deservedly enjoyed the love and respect of his colleagues, students and the entire scientific community. I express my condolences to outstanding scientist’s family, friends and colleagues.”
