Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence message over the passing of USSR People’s Artist Nikolay Nikoghosyan. The message reads, in part:

“With deep sorrow, I learned about the demise of famous Soviet and Armenian sculptor, USSR People’s Artist Nikolay Nikoghosyan. As a prominent representative of Armenian and Russian cultures, he never abandoned the service to his people and homeland.

People in Armenia have always admired and highly appreciated his artistic activity, as well as his personal contribution to the strengthening and development of Armenian-Russian cultural ties.

I express my sincere condolences to outstanding master’s family, relatives and to the fans of his art.”
