Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a message of condolences on Michel Legrand’s passing.

“I was deeply grieved to learn of Michel Legrand’s demise. The great son of the Armenian and French peoples will remain in our hearts forever with his numerous masterpieces.

For many decades, thousands of Armenians in Armenia and the Diaspora enjoyed Legrand’s wonderful music. He taught us to be fond of what is beautiful and exquisite, and thereby left an indelible mark on our musical likings.

I offer my sincere condolences and sympathy to Michel Legrand’s relatives and friends.”
