Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a condolence message to Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in connection with the explosion in the "Surmalu" shopping center. The message reads as follows,

"I express my deepest condolences regarding the death of people as a result of the fire that occurred in the shopping center of Yerevan.

Please convey words of my deepest sympathy and support to the families of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured."
