The death of Vahe Shahverdyan, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia, Artistic Director of Vanadzor Theater, is an irreparable loss for Armenian theater and art.

Mr. Shahverdyan's contribution to the continuous development of the Mother Theater and Vanadzor Theater is invaluable. He took over the helm of Gabriel Sundukyan Theatre in a difficult period, and despite the difficulties, the Mother Theater continued its mission with great honor, presenting the audience with high-quality performances, with Vahe Shahverdyan's unique theatrical script. The Vanadzor Theater also lived a rich cultural life under his leadership, presenting an interesting show schedule.

Mr. Shahverdyan was one of the devotees of Armenian theater who shared his knowledge with generations and left his bright mark in our cultural life forever.
