Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras congratulated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his election as Prime Minister of Armenia and wished him every success in his responsible mission. The congratulatory message reads in part:

“Greece and Armenia have strong historical, religious and cultural bonds and our bilateral relations are based on mutual friendship, trust and respect. These bonds, in many occasions throughout the centuries, have been forges and strengthened under difficult circumstances thus having become a firm point of reference between our peoples.

I am confident that during your tenure, our strategic bilateral relations will be further enhanced and deepened and I can assure you our readiness to further promote our cooperation on a wide spectrum of fields, such as the economic, commercial, cultural and educational ones.”
