Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on his being elected Prime Minister of Armenia. The message reads in part:

“India's relations with Armenia are historical, warm and friendly. I am confident that these relations would further strengthen and diversify in the years ahead. I look forward to working with you in this endeavor.

I take this opportunity to extend my good wishes for Your Excellency’s well-being and success as also progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Armenia.
