Congratulatory telegrams
Anne Hidalgo congratulates Nikol Pashinyan on victory in elections
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the victory of the ‘’Civil Contract’’ Party in the early parliamentary elections.
‘’Mr. Prime Minister,
Dear friend,
I learned that in the early parliamentary elections of Armenia on June 20, 2021, the Armenian people gave the majority of votes to the party you lead, thus allowing you to continue your commitment assumed in 2018.
On this occasion, I send you my most sincere congratulations, as well as best wishes for success.
As I mentioned during your recent visit to Paris, the city of Paris and I personally always support Armenia, a friendly country for France, especially your capital Yerevan, which is a sister city to Paris.
Now when you are assuming your responsibilities and it is necessary to unite around Armenia to preserve the country's security and right to exist, rest assured, Mr. Prime Minister, that you will never feel the lack of support from Paris.
I regret for that it was impossible to fulfill my wish to visit Armenia in the spring of this year due to sanitary conditions. Anyway, I have instructed my staff to organize a visit to not only Yerevan this October, but also to one of the regions most affected by the 2020 armed aggression, where I would sincerely like to meet with those affected by the conflict.
My diplomatic adviser Paul-David Regnier is at the disposal of your staff for organizing that visit in collaboration with our respective diplomatic institutions.
Honorable Mr. Prime Minister, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration’’.
