Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the country’s national day. The message reads, in part:

“Honorable Mr. President,

I cordially congratulate you on the national holiday of the Arab Republic of Egypt - the Day of Revolution.

The furtherance of the traditionally brotherly relations between our two countries becomes more important today as Armenia and Egypt are confidently overcoming numerous challenges. I am deeply convinced that our relations have great development potential. The global economic recovery and the political developments in the region create additional opportunities for multifaceted interaction between Armenia and Egypt.

The forthcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission will usher in a new stage in the development of Armenian-Egyptian cooperation. We welcome the ongoing EAEU-Egypt negotiations on the free trade agreement and will contribute to their successful completion. The signing and implementation of the agreement will help enhance the Armenian-Egyptian bilateral cooperation.
