President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar Al-Assad sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The message runs as follows,

I am glad to convey to you our heartful and warmest congratulations on your re-election as Prime Minister, wishing you permanent success in implementing your responsibilities and the interests and aspirations of the friendly Armenian people.

I look forward to the continuation of the efforts by the Governments of the Republic of Armenia and the Syrian Arab Republic for strengthening bilateral relations and the existing cooperation between the two countries in all the areas of mutual interest.
