Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili sent a congratulatory message to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of Independence Day.

"Mr. Prime Minister,

I heartily congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.

The Armenian people have gone through a long way and many challenges to build a successful and independent state. I am sure that despite the many challenges present today, Armenia will successfully continue the path of building a powerful state.

I am confident that the close ties and traditional brotherly and neighborly relations between Georgia and the Republic of Armenia formed throughout centuries will be further strengthened in the future in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

We express our readiness in connection with the "peaceful neighborhood initiative in the South Caucasus", which will ensure peace and stability in our region.

Once again, I congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, and I wish peace, success, progress and welfare to our brotherly and friendly Armenian people."
