In the sidelines of the visit to Gegharkunik Province, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the already implemented and still ongoing projects in the communities funded by the Government and subsidy programs.
The Prime Minister first familiarized himself with the reconstruction works of the 3.4 km long section of the national highway in Gavar. The total cost of the project implemented by the "Road Department" fund is 1 billion 733 million AMD. According to the officials in charge, the works are in the final stage.
Capital renovation works of the area adjacent to the Saint Astvatsatsin Church in Gavar city were presented to the Prime Minister. The total cost of the project co-financed by the community and the Government is 21 million 796 thousand AMD, of which 55 percent is co-financed from the community budget and 45 percent from the state budget. Next, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the repair works of kindergarten No. 7 in Gavar. The total cost of the project, which is co-financed by the community and the Government within the framework of the subsidy program, is 174 million AMD. 75 percent of the funding was provided from the state budget. Exterior improvement and interior finishing works have already been done, which will be completed in the near future.
The Head of the Government got acquainted with the construction works of secondary school N1 of N. Getashen. The total cost of the project implemented by the Urban Development Committee is
1.8 billion AMD. 30% of the works have been completed. As a result of the implementation of the project, a school with an area of 4868 square meters will be built, designed for 936 students. It is planned to be commissioned in 2025.
Nikol Pashinyan also visited Martuni medical center, got acquainted with the construction works being carried out there. It was reported to the Prime Minister that the total cost of the project implemented by the "Healthcare Program Implementation Office" is 2 billion 470 million AMD. 80 percent of the works have been completed. As a result of the implementation of the project, the community will have a 4720 square meter medical center with a capacity of 79 beds and modern equipment.
In Vaghashen, the Prime Minister was presented with the reconstruction works of the kindergarten of the settlement. The total cost of the project, which was co-financed by Martuni community and the Government under the subsidy program, is 112 million AMD, of which 35 percent is co-financed by the community and 65 percent by the state budget. Construction works have been completed. As a result of the implementation of the project, the kindergarten building with a capacity of 120 places was completely renovated and the area was improved.
Zolakar is another settlement where a kindergarten was built. Nikol Pashinyan was informed here that the total cost of the project, which is co-financed by the Martuni community and the Government, is 276 million AMD. 35 percent of the funds were provided by the community
Budget and 65 percent from the state budget. The construction works are in the final stage. The kindergarten is designed for 120 children.
Nikol Pashinyan's next stop was the city of Vardenis, where he was presented with the asphalting works of Roman Street and the projects planned in the community under subsidy programs. It was reported that 4.2 billion AMD subsidy programs are planned for this year in Vardenis, of which 2.6 billion AMD is the Government's share.
Then, the Prime Minister visited the participants of the "Sevan Startup Summit-2023" event held on the shore of Lake Sevan, near Daranak village. The Head of the Government toured the booths of startups, got acquainted with the details and goals of the outdoor, tented, informal business forum. It was presented to Nikol Pashinyan that the event gathers startups, entrepreneurs, investors, leading speakers and mentors from various fields under the same roof to collaborate, learn, compete and have fun. In one of the booths, the Prime Minister discussed issues related to the development of the IT sector and startup programs with the organizers of the event.
"Sevan Startup Summit" started on July 23 and will last for 7 days. 110 startups from 30 countries of the world are present at the event. It was reported that the event is full of experience exchange and panel discussions.
In Shoghakat settlement, the Head of the Government got acquainted with the construction process of the smart irrigation system. It was reported that the total cost of the project implemented by the Chambarak community and the Government is 171 million AMD, of which 80 million AMD was allocated by the United Nations Development Program, 4.9 million AMD was provided by the Territorial Development Fund, 58 million AMD by the Government and 27 million AMD was allocated from the community budget. 80 percent of construction works have been completed. As a result of the implementation of the project, a 30 thousand cubic meter water basin, a 15 kV solar plant, a 45 l/s deep well and an irrigation system of 4142 linear meters will be built. As a result, 315 hectares of the community will be irrigated.
As part of the regional visit, Nikol Pashinyan familiarized himself with the progress of the major repair of the 5.7 km section of the Chambarak-Vahan national highway. It was reported that the total cost of the project implemented by the "Road Department" Fund of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure is 898 million AMD. 60 percent of the construction works have been completed, the other part will be completed in the near future.
In Chambarak, the Prime Minister was presented with the progress of the construction of the community's memorial to soldiers fallen in the 44-day war. It was reported that the total cost of the subsidy program is 68 million AMD. 45 percent of the funds were provided by the community, 55 percent by the Government. 60 percent of the works have been completed.
In the Lchashen community, the Head of the Government was presented with the progress of the major repair works of the 1.2 km long section of the road leading from the post office to the Cyclopean fortress. Total cost of the project implemented by the "Road Department" Fund of the Ministry of Territorial Adminsitration and Infrastructure is 236 million AMD. 50 percent of the construction works have been completed.
In the Gagarin community, the Prime Minister visited the greenhouse established by the "Gevmik" company, got acquainted with the investment program, the total cost of which is 3.7 billion AMD, of which the interest rate of 1.1 billion AMD was subsidized by the state. As a result of the implementation of the project, a 3.76 ha greenhouse was established, auxiliary buildings with an area of 2400 square meters were built. 82 jobs were created.
The Prime Minister also got acquainted with the construction process of the modular N military unit of the Ministry of Defense.
