Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in the Islamic Republic of Iran on a working visit.

Prime Minister Pashinyan was welcomed by Iran's Vice President, Head of the Plan and Budget Organization, Co-Chairman of the Republic of Armenia-IRI Intergovernmental Joint Commission, Davood Manzoor, at Tehran's "Mehrabad" International Airport.

The Prime Minister of Armenia will have a meeting with the newly elected President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan will participate in the official inauguration ceremony of the President of Iran.

The meeting of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the newly elected President of the Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian took place in Tehran.

At the meeting, the President of Iran thanked Prime Minister Pashinyan for accepting the invitation and coming to Iran on a working visit. Masoud Pezeshkian added that Iran values the continuous development of relations with friendly Armenia in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.

Nikol Pashinyan thanked Masoud Pezeshkian for his warm hospitality and once again congratulated him on his election as the President of the Republic of Iran. The Prime Minister emphasized that multilateral cooperation with Iran is of great importance for our country, which is based on mutual respect and understanding.

Masoud Pezeshkian, reaffirming the previously reached agreements at a high level, noted. "The age-old friendship, historical and cultural close relations of our two peoples are the basis for further development of bilateral cooperation. We are ready to continue our dialogue with joint efforts and further enrich the bilateral cooperation agenda."

"The fact that I am here today is evidence of our commitment to deepen relations between Armenia and Iran at the highest level, to strengthen cooperation," said Prime Minister Pashinyan.

Nikol Pashinyan presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project of the Armenian government and its principles aimed at unblocking regional communication channels.

The newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran highlighted the consistent efforts to establish peace and stability in the region.

Masoud Pezeshkian noted that maintaining peace in the region is of key importance for Iran, adding that the Iranian side also considers it necessary to resolve all issues through dialogue.

Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the involvement of the Iranian side in the construction of the North-South highway, in particular, the Agarak-Kajaran section. The importance of the steps taken to modernize the Armenia-Iran border checkpoint was also emphasized.

The leaders of Armenia and Iran discussed a wide range of issues related to the strengthening of trade and economic ties, and also referred to issues related to the implementation of new joint programs in the fields of healthcare, modern technologies, education, science, and culture.

Masoud Pezeshkian noted that he has been to Armenia on a private visit and has warm impressions of our country and people. The interlocutors emphasized bilateral high-level mutual visits.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran.

Seyyed Ali Khamenei thanked the Prime Minister for visiting Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected president of Iran.

The interlocutors expressed their belief that Armenia and Iran will continue to take steps towards the development of warm and friendly relations for the benefit of the progress of both states and peoples.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the official swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. The event took place in the Majles of Iran.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomed the heads of the delegations and led them to the hall after the joint photo ceremony.

At the beginning of the swearing-in ceremony, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Majles of the Republic of Iran, addressed the audience, then the head of Iran's judicial system, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Eje'i , gave a speech.

The newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran thanked the heads of the delegations for participating in the inauguration ceremony and delivered a speech.
