Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in the Holy See (Vatican) on a working visit with his wife Anna Hakobyan.
As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will have a meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis.

As part of the working visit to the Holy See, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a private conversation with His Holiness Pope Francis.
Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked for the meeting and noted that it is a great honor for him to be in the Apostolic Palace for the first time. According to the Prime Minister, the continuous mutual visits at the high and top levels are an evidence of special interstate relations between Armenia and the Holy See. Nikol Pashinyan added that the appointment of the resident Apostolic Nuncio in Armenia will be a significant progress in friendly relations.
At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized Armenia's full support for the peace agenda of the Holy See and speaking and acting jointly in this direction on international platforms.
Nikol Pashinyan informed His Holiness about the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and reaffirmed the commitment of the Armenian Government to the peace agenda. He also emphasized that the Republic of Armenia is determined to have its contribution to peace.
The Prime Minister thanked His Holiness for the continuous efforts of the Holy See to release the Armenian prisoners of war.
The interlocutors also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
Following the private conversation, Pope Francis greeted the Prime Minister's wife Anna Hakobyan, daughter, and the members of the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister.

As part of his working visit to the Holy See, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan toured the Vatican Museums with his wife Anna Hakobyan and daughter Arpi Pashinyan and got acquainted with the presented exhibits. The Prime Minister and Mrs. Hakobyan also visited St. Peter's Basilica.
During the tour, the Prime Minister and his wife laid flowers near the statues of Gregory the Illuminator and Gregory of Narek.
