Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in Paris, France, on a working visit from February 10-11.

The Prime Minister will participate in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.

A meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the President of France Emmanuel Macron took place at the Élysée Palace.

The French President welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and thanked him for accepting the invitation to participate in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit to be held in Paris. He highlighted the continuous development of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France and reaffirmed France’s support for ensuring Armenia’s development and stability.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked for the warm hospitality, emphasizing that 2024 has been a very dynamic year in terms of Armenia-France relations. The Prime Minister emphasized that numerous meetings have taken place between the leaders and departments of the two countries, regular contacts are maintained, and today the relations between Armenia and France have reached a new level.

During the meeting, the leaders of Armenia and France discussed a number of issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation, including the prospects for implementing joint programs in the economy, infrastructure, road construction, energy, education, tourism and other sectors.

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the ongoing developments in the direction of border demarcation, as well as the unblocking of regional communication routes within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” project were discussed. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the commitment of the Armenian Government to the peace agenda. A number of other issues of regional importance were also discussed.

The parties exchanged views on the prospects for further development of Armenia-European Union cooperation, as well as the continuous promotion of the agenda of democratic reforms in our country.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the official dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit.

During the dinner, the Prime Minister had informal meetings with colleagues.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with the representatives of the Armenian community in France in the sidelines of his working visit to Paris.

During the meeting, the current challenges facing Armenia, the steps taken by the Armenian Government to overcome them, the main directions of the “Real Armenia” strategy, as well as the prospects for the development of Armenia-Diaspora relations were discussed.

The Prime Minister presented the opportunities for deepening multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France, touched upon the peace process with Azerbaijan and regional security issues.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also answered the questions of the participants of the meeting, presenting the approaches and programs of the Government in various fields.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the plenary session of the AI Action Summit in Paris. The Prime Minister and other high-ranking guests were welcomed by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.

The event was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US Vice President James David Vance, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and leaders and heads of government of a number of other countries.

After the plenary session of the event, the participants of the summit posed for a family photo.

The Prime Minister had brief talks with international partners within the framework of the summit.

In particular, the Prime Minister exchanged views on the further development of Armenia-European Union cooperation in a conversation with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ireland Micheál Martin, the prospects for further deepening ties between the two countries were discussed. The parties expressed their willingness to continue the dialogue in this direction.

Nikol Pashinyan also met with the Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo, and other international partners.
