Proceeding from the National Assembly Resolution of April 17, 2018 on electing Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister, President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree on appointing Serzh Sargsyan to the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The first meeting of the country’s President and the newly elected Prime Minister was held today at the Presidential Palace.

Congratulating Serzh Sargsyan, the President of Armenia said, “Bearing in mind the way you have gone, your great organizational skills and long experience, as well as your human qualities, I am confident that your full potential in this responsible position will serve the development of our homeland and the welfare of our people.”

The President wished the Prime Minister every success and fruitful activities.
