Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation headed by Asian Development Bank President Takehiko Nakao.
The Premier highly valued the ongoing close cooperation with the Asian Development Bank and underlined that many major projects, including in the private sector, were implemented with the Bank’s support in Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the Armenian government is keen to consistently develop the cooperation with ADB and expand the scope of its private sector financing.
Noting that effective collaborative ties have been established with Armenia in a number of spheres, Takehiko Nakao said ADB is committed to stepping up the support provided to Armenia’s government. Mr. Nakao added that ADB is going to expand the volume of financial resources available to the private sector.
The parties attached importance to cooperation in the fields of infrastructure development, agriculture, energy, information technology, tourism, healthcare, education and other spheres. Various issues related to bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting. Nikol Pashinyan and the ADB President touched upon the North-South highway construction project.
