Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in the Republic of Artsakh on a working visit on the morning of June 16. Attended by Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, as well as Armenian and Artsakh government delegations, the Premier called at the newly built St. Vardanank church in Chartar community of Martuni region, where a consecration ceremony was being held.
The leaders of Armenia and Artsakh attended the Divine Liturgy, administered by Reverend Father Pargev, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The construction of the church started in 2014. It was made possible through the financial support of Vladimir Avagyan, a native of Chartar who lives in Russia.
