Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Vladimir Medinsky, RF Minister of Culture and Head of the Russian delegation to the Seventh Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum.
Prioritizing the development of multifaceted relations between Armenia and Russia, the Premier expressed confidence that the Yerevan forum would help deepen and expand bilateral relations. “We are keen to build strong and dynamically developing relations with Russia. Our goal is to deepen bilateral interaction and have closer relations than ever,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
Vladimir Medinsky expressed hope that the Yerevan forum would give new impetus to bilateral cooperation in the economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres. The head of the Russian delegation suggested considering the possibility of creating a union that would promote trade and economic exchanges between the regions and provinces of the two countries and implement joint investment programs. Mr. Medinsky noted the importance of deepening cooperation in the field of information technology and film production.
Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government is equally interested in developing interregional economic relations, joint film production and expanding cultural exchanges. With reference to trade and economic relations, the Premier pointed out that exports from Armenia to Russia have been showing strong development dynamics this year, and expressed hope that these trends would continue upwards in the near future.
The parties availed themselves of the opportunity to touch upon a number of other issues related to Armenian-Russian relations.
