Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Zareh Sinanyan, Mayor of Glendale, California, which is home to many Armenians.
“Our compatriots from Los Angeles and Glendale provided valuable support during the political processes which took place in Armenia. We hope that the support will be inclusive in its content during the post-revolutionary period,” the Prime Minister said, hopeful that the ties between Yerevan and Glendale will be strengthened ahead.
In turn, Zareh Sinanyan noted that the Armenian community in Glendale is very much enthusiastic in the wake of the Armenian revolution due to the new situation created by the country’s legitimate government and other positive factors.
“Our ethnic Armenian residents are looking forward to substantive developments. I am convinced that there are many spheres of cooperation: we must find the most effective options in order to achieve the best possible results,” the Glendale Mayor said.
The parties attached importance to the implementation of such programs as will lead to repatriation and preservation of the Armenian identity in the Diaspora.
