Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultation, during which issues on agriculture development and introduction of modern technologies were discussed. In particular, the meeting referred to the opportunities offered by the drip irrigation systems, hail-proof nets, increased efficiency of anti-hail stations and planned programs.
“It seems to be obvious that we are facing problems in this sphere, but it is also obvious that we see prospects, and we need to effectively implement them. That is why we think that a number of government departments should cooperate closely and efficiently, Armenian citizens should know abou1t those opportunities, because often the objections that there are no funds or they are insufficient for introducing new technologies can lead to extra costs. Of course, the current state of affairs has objective components, and we must try to understand what we can do to deal with the existing problems, at both theoretical and practical levels,” Nikol Pashinyan pointed out.
The Agriculture Ministry representatives reported back the ongoing efforts for installation of drip irrigation systems and hail-proof nets. In this context, the speakers touched upon the government’s priority programs that will help modernize and develop the agricultural sector.
The meeting touched the possibility of introducing an insurance system in agriculture. In conclusion, the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations presented the efforts aimed at enhancing the efficiency of anti-hail missile systems.
