Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in Tajikistan on a working visit. Today, the Armenian Premier met with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon.
Welcoming Nikol Pashinyan to his country, the President of Tajikistan pointed out that it was their first ever meeting and wished him every success at the post of Prime Minister. Pleased with the current status of bilateral political relations, Emomali Rahmon highlighted the need for engaging in deeper trade and economic interactions.
Thankful for the warm welcome, the Prime Minister of Armenia ssaid his government eager to develop and expand multidimensional cooperation between the two countries. Nikol Pashinyan made a point of developing and implementing targeted economic programs. He assured of Armenia’s keen interest in cooperating on both bilateral and multilateral formats, including in the frame of integration associations. In this context, the parties touched upon the steps to take as part of integration efforts.
Later today, Prime Minister Pashinyan attended an informal luncheon, offered in honor of the Heads of State of CIS-member countries.
Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to attend a regular session of the Council of Heads of State of CIS-member countries on September 28, 2018.
