Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today attended the opening ceremony of the park dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan. The event was attended by members of the Armenian government, the Mayor of Yerevan, State officials and thousands of citizens. The park was built by the Vardanyan Family charity foundation with financing provided by Mikayel and Karen Vardanyans.
The Premier toured the park to get a first-hand view of the amenities available to citizens. Karen Vardanyan, the author of the park project, presented the work performed under the project. He noted that the construction activities lasted for 1.5 years. Exotic tree species have been planted, a 24-hour automatic drip irrigation system was introduced.
In the central part of the park there is a map of Yerevan, as well as an area in the form of a map of Yerevan. Fountains, plates in the form of ancient Armenian carpets, bronze statues, benches, garbage cans and lanterns are installed.
