RA Prime Minister, Amundi’s Deputy Director discuss pension reform-related issues

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Bernard de Wit, the deputy chief executive officer of French asset manager Amundi, which is the main shareholder of Amundi and one of the two private pension fund managers in Armenia.

Greeting the guests, the Prime Minister said pension reform is of great importance to Armenia, and the meeting is a good opportunity to discuss cooperation prospects. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the Government is eager to develop the ongoing cooperation with its partners, including Amundi that will help complete the pension reform successfully and raise public awareness of the funded pension system.

Bernard de Wit noted that Amundi is successfully cooperating with the Government of Armenia and the Central Bank and is prepared to continue the joint work.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the effective implementation of the economic, social and financial components of the pension reform in Armenia. They specifically touched upon the steps aimed at developing the capital market, raise public awareness and implement investment programs.
