Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Désiré Nyaruhirira, Special Adviser to Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF) Louise Mushikiwabo.

Désiré Nyaruhirira conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the IOF Secretary General, noting that Ms. Mushikiwabo intends to travel to Yerevan early next year to meet with Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the IOF-presiding nation in order to discuss issues related to the activities of the Organization. Désiré Nyaruhirira briefed the Premier on the ongoing preparations for the IOF Summit in Tunisia in 2020.

Welcoming IOF Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo’s intention to visit Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan assured that all initiatives aimed at increasing the Organization’s efficiency would be supported by Armenia.

The previously signed working agreement on the exercise of the functions of IOF Secretary General was re-signed with some modifications during the meeting.
