Progress in anti-coronavirus program and new assistance programs discussed in Government

Chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Government continued discussing activities aimed at addressing the socio-economic problems arising from the spread of coronavirus. The meeting first referred to the Government’s emergency action plan. Situation updates were provided, including the planned third activity to neutralize the economic impact of coronavirus, which seeks to minimize liquidity risks for SMEs. The Investment Support Center was said to have already received 11 applications. New applications keep coming in at this point of time. The meeting touched upon the implementation of other programs as well.
The Prime Minister instructed to continue monitoring the activities aimed at neutralizing the impact of coronavirus, which will allow the Government to enhance their effectiveness and targeting.
The meeting next discussed new draft social assistance program aimed at expanding the scope of beneficiaries. A number of proposals and recommendations were voiced during the exchange of views that followed. Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed to finalize the drafts and submit them to the Government for approval.
