The Commission for Coordination of Activities to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia met in the Office of Government, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

State of Emergency Commandant, RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan reported on the ongoing activities aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19, as well as the steps to take ahead. In this context, the Commission discussed ways of organizing the government’s efforts in economic, social, educational, cultural and other spheres of public life.

Views were exchanged on the manageability of the epidemiological situation, the expediency of easing the restrictions applicable to free movement and economic activity, control mechanisms, etc.

The Commandant will soon make decisions based on the results of today’s meeting.
