The Commission for Coordination of Activities to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia met today in the Office of Government, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Statistics on confirmed COVID-19 cases, the current trends, infected people’s health status and the number of tests was reported during the meeting.
The Commission discussed the strategy for management of asymptomatic infections and issues related to self-confinement mechanisms. In this context, reference was made to the control of infection dissemination chains with the use of technological tools carried out in different directions to prevent the spread of the epidemic, the results of inspections and the enforcement of sanctions in case of violations. Issues related to the manageability of the epidemiological situation amid the healthcare system’s overload were discussed during the meeting.
The Prime Minister instructed those responsible to continue inspection work to verify compliance with the rules established by the Commandant’s Office.
