Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today chaired a consultation, which discussed the annual performance report of the Ministry of Finance for 2019.
Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan reported on the activities aimed at improving the fiscal policy, effective management of finances and state debt, introduction of an accounting and reporting system, organizing trainings aimed at building capacity in the system of public administration, optimization of structural units. The meeting also touched on the reforms being implemented by the ministry, including in the tax and procurement systems, as well as the cooperation with the international financial organizations.
Prime Minister Pashinyan highlighted the importance of the programs being implemented by the ministry and emphasized the necessity of actions aimed at enhancing finance management efficiency. In particular, Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of introducing additional mechanisms necessary for the timely implementation of the measures envisaged by the state budget expenditures program, which will make the process of public spending more predictable throughout the year.
