Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultation to discuss a strategic program for improving tax administration and developing the State Revenue Committee.
SRC Chairman Edward Hovhannisyan reported that the program features 5 strategic goals and 67 measures, aimed at improving tax and customs administration, increasing SRC system’s efficiency, easing the taxpayers’ administrative burden, combating the shadow, etc. He noted that 14 new activities were added to the strategic plan adopted last year. They envisage the introduction of an automatic state duty accounting system and an electronic reporting system. The online version of the Electronic Accounting Documents and Books system will be designed.
The program will modernize the process of returning the maximum amount of transferred social payments calculated from the income to be received from several sources, the state duty control mechanism. It will help improve the process of identifying, assessing and reducing tax discipline-related risks.
The planned measures will be aimed at introducing a customs risk management system for individuals and private cars through centralized weighing, express cargo registration, as well as by developing e-commerce control mechanisms. A clear-cut implementation schedule is provided for each event.
Highlighting the need for effective implementation of all measures envisaged by the strategic program, Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that the program should follow up on the strategic program aimed at developing and modernizing the SRC system, which was adopted last year. The Premier instructed to amend the program based on the results of today’s discussion and submit it to the government for approval.
