Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced newly appointed Investigative Committee Chairman Argishti Kyaramyan to IC Board members and to the staff of the Investigative Committee.

Nikol Pashinyan thanked outgoing IC Chairman Hayk Grigoryan for the work done over the past three years. “I would like to emphasize that I highly value the professional and human qualities of Mr. Grigoryan. I have already said that Mr. Grigoryan’s potential will be used in the system of public administration, and we will discuss this issue and make a decision in the near future,” the Acting Prime Minister said.

Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Argishti Kyaramyan on his appointment as Chairman of the Investigative Committee. “We are entering a new stage of development following the snap parliamentary elections of June 20. The peculiarity of this stage is as follows: the citizens of the Republic of Armenia gave the government a mandate to establish a dictatorship of law and the rule of law in Armenia. Under the new conditions, I look forward to effective and more decisive actions on the part of the Investigative Committee, which will meet the people’s expectations. Very important work has been done, but we must continue to ensure the effectiveness, speed and results of the preliminary investigation. I hope this work will be carried out under the leadership of Mr. Kyaramyan. I am confident that Mr. Grigoryan with his vast experience will help Mr. Kyaramyan in this activity. Mr. Grigoryan, let me once again thank you for your work and for your willingness to continue serving in another capacity for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people. Mr. Kyaramyan, I wish you every success in this important position,” Nikol Pashinian said.

Hayk Grigoryan thanked the Acting Prime Minister for the opportunity and high confidence. “Mr. Prime Minister, for three years you have supported the Investigative Committee on all issues, on all organizational problems that arose, on the moral and psychological atmosphere, on issues of ensuring social guarantees. We have always had a high level of trust. Let me express my gratitude to you and to my colleagues,” Hayk Grigoryan said. The outgoing IC Chairman noted that he had worked with Argishti Kyaramyan for the last 7 months and highly appreciated his personal, professional and moral-psychological qualities.

In turn, newly appointed Investigative Committee Chairman Argishti Kyaramyan thanked Nikol Pashinian and the government for entrusting him with such a responsible position during this important period for the country. Argishti Kyaramyan thanked Hayk Grigoryan for joint work.

“Mr. Prime Minister, I can assure you that any problem facing the Investigative Committee be solved quickly, efficiently and in accordance with the letter of the law,” Argishti Kyaramyan concluded.
