Prformance report 2022 of the Armenian Naitonal Interests Fund presented to the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was presented today with the performance report 2022 of the Armenian Naitonal Interests Fund (ANIF).
The discussion was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff Arayik Harutyunyan, Head of the State Supervision Service Romanos Petrosyan, Deputy Minister of Finance Avag Avanesyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ANIF Tigran Avinyan, CEO of ANIF David Papazian, other officials.
Prime Minister Pashinyan was informed about the projects implemented by the Fund and the investment portfolio. It was noted that as a result of the three-year activity of ANIF, a total of 214 million USD was invested in various sectors of Armenia's economy through joint programs, around 800 jobs were created in 2021-2022.
One of the 2 major investment projects of strategic importance, the Armenian National Airline "Fly Arna", which is a joint initiative of ANIF and "Air Arabia", started operating flights since June of last year. The airline carries out flights in 4 directions, 3 more new flights are planned in the near future. The preparatory works for the construction of the "Aig-1" photovoltaic plant, another joint initiative of ANIF and the "Masdar" company of the UAE, are in progress. In the near future, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for the construction of the plant will be completed, after which it is planned to announce a tender for the construction of the plant.
7 investment projects are being implemented with the participation of ANIF's subsidiary company, "Entrepreneur+state" investment fund, including in the fields of agriculture, logistics, and service. Details were presented about the ARFI investment crowdfunding platform launched at the end of last year, which aims to promote investments.
An exchange of ideas regarding the report took place. The tools of ANIF activity, current programs, business risk assessment mechanisms, public communication and other issues were discussed.
The Prime Minister highlighted the effective implementation of strategic projects, investment environment development measures by ANIF and instructed to be consistent in this matter. The Head of the Government emphasized the continuous increase of accountability and transparency, active public awareness, one of the important components of which is business consulting, interdepartmental cooperation.
In the context of future activities, Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed to submit proposals for improving the scope of ANIF's activities.
