Discussions on the fiscal and expenditure plan of the mid-term expenditure framework 2024-2026 continued today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The draft of the medium-term expenditure plan for 2024-2026. the basic principles behind the MTEF proposal, the expenditure framework of the program, the key directions of Government Action Plan were the subjects of discussion. There was also a reference to other issues requiring general approaches.

An exchange of views took place regarding positive developments in economic activity, forecasts of Armenia’s economic growth, revisions of economic growth and GDP, mid-term tax revenues and their risks, maintaining the debt burden at a manageable level, increasing the role of capital expenditures and maintaining the current level that does not cause inflationary pressure.

The Head of the Government emphasized the importance of increasing the quality and efficiency of the projects and instructed to summarize the observations and interdepartmental discussions on the fiscal and expenditure plan of the medium-term expenditure framework for 2024-2026.
