Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Harris Georgiades, the Chairman of Cyprus-Armenia Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation of the House of Representatives

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Cypriot parliamentар delegation to Armenia and highly appreciated the level of inter-parliamentary cooperation and political dialogue between the two countries. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the fact of adopting the resolution by the House of Representatives of Cyprus regarding the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor and thanked for the clear assessments. The Prime Minister also emphasized the implementation of steps towards the expansion of economic cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus, noting that there is a great potential for cooperation in that field as well.

Harris Georgiades condemned the implementation of the policy of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh and attached importance to the humanitarian support of the international community to the forcibly displaced population of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Chairman of Cyprus-Armenia Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation emphasized the support of Cyprus for the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia.

During the meeting, issues related to the regional processes were discussed.
