Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Mrs. Anna Hakobyan visited the House-Museum of Sergey Merkurov in Gyumri, where they got acquainted with the samples presented at the solo exhibition of painter Karen Ohanyan entitled "Ghosts of the Death of Communism".
The exhibition opened on October 22, at the initiative of the artist, and will run until the end of January, 2024. 12 pieces are exhibited, in which two genres dominate: landscape and still life. However, in the new series of works by Karen Ohanyan, these two traditional genres have received an unexpected, innovative and impressive interpretation. In his works, he speaks about the death of communism and war sometimes directly, sometimes he creates impressive pictorial symbols and metaphors.
