Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament Konstantinos Tassoulas in Athens.
The latter welcomed the Prime Minister's visit to Greece and emphasized the fact of centuries-old friendly relations between the two countries. Konstantinos Tassoulas expressed confidence that the visit of the Armenian Prime Minister will give a new impetus to the strengthening of bilateral multi-layered relations.
Nikol Pashinyan thanked for the warm reception and noted that the historical ties between Armenia and Greece are also reflected in interstate relations. The Prime Minister noted that today they had important discussions with the President and Prime Minister of Greece, discussed a broad agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations. Nikol Pashinyan also emphasized the continuous development and strengthening of cooperation in the parliamentary format and added that today's meeting will be a new impetus to the activity of the Armenia-Greece parliamentary friendship group.
Konstantinos Tassoulas awarded the Prime Minister of Armenia with the Golden Medal of the Hellenic Parliament. Nikol Pashinyan thanked for the high appreciation.
Next, Nikol Pashinyan met with the members of the Armenia-Greece parliamentary group. Hayk Konjoryan, head of the "Civil Contract" parliamentary faction, head of the Armenia-Greece friendship group, was also present at the meeting. Bilateral cooperation, as well as various issues of regional and international significance were discussed. The Greek MPs emphasized that they stand by Armenia and the Armenian people during the difficult period.
