The Prime Minister attends the awarding ceremony of the amateur swimming tournament "Prime Minister's Cup of the Republic of Armenia"

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the awarding ceremony of the amateur swimming tournament "Prime Minister's Cup of the Republic of Armenia".

The swimming tournament is being held for the third time in the beach area of Lake Sevan in Shoghakat (former Shorzha) settlement of Chambarak community of Gegharkunik region.

The amateur swimming tournament was held in 2 age groups: 1st age group: women and men aged 18 to 40, 2nd age group: women and men aged 41 and older. Women competed in 1000 meters and men in 1500 meters.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan, Governor of Gegharkunik Karen Sargsyan handed over the awards to the prize winners.

The Prime Minister congratulated the attendees, participants and prize winners on the occasion of holding the tournament, emphasized that holding the tournament has several goals, one of which is popularizing sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, the next goal is to encourage swimming in Sevan and to contribute to the economic development of the eastern coast of Sevan. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of holding tournaments from the point of view of socialization, as they create a new platform for communicating with each other and making new friends.

Nikol Pashinyan wished the tournament to have even more participants and the competition to be greater.

Monetary prizes were awarded to the participants who took 1st to 10th places in both age groups. 1st place: 1,000,000 AMD, 2nd place: 500,000 AMD, 3rd place: 300,000 AMD, 4th place: 100,000 AMD, 5-10th place: 50,000 AMD.
