The government will allocate 1 billion 940 million AMD to ensure the implementation of the "Engineering City" project

A regular Cabinet meeting took place today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The government adopted a decision by which it is planned to allocate 1 billion 940 million AMD from the unused funds of the "Implementation of the Digital Conversion Process" project to the "Engineering City" project. As the Minister of High-tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan noted, 1 billion 880 million AMD from the mentioned amount will be allocated for the construction and furnishing of the Engineering Business Accelerator building, 67 million 900 thousand AMD for the coordination, maintenance and service of the Engineering Business Accelerator building and general infrastructure. It was noted that the 1 billion 940 million AMD will be the penultimate allocation to the "Engineering City" project and the last allocation - 1.1 billion AMD - is planned by the draft of the state budge 2025t. It is planned to create new state-of-the-art infrastructure in the "Engineering City", including 5 thematic laboratories for design, as well as a research center that will serve to solve cyber security problems and for semiconductor, aerospace, smart device and other manufacturing. Educational centers, science, technology and space museums, libraries will also operate.

The Government adopted a decision by which it is planned to allocate 4,618,109,200 AMD for the implementation of the "Medium repair of interstate and republican roads" measure of the "Road Network Improvement" program. The total length of the roads subject to repair is 97,732 km.

The Executive approved the bills "On Amendments and Additions to the Law "On State Regulation of Technical Safety", "On Amendments and Amendments to the Law "On Fire Safety" and "On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Procedure of the Republic of Armenia". As a result of the adoption of the bills, the proposed norms in the laws will create a legal basis for not suspending the Inspection Body's order prohibiting the operation of a dangerous production object, a separate technical measure or technological equipment located in a dangerous production object (administrative act) in case of filing an administrative complaint to the Inspection Body.
