Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with his wife Anna Hakobyan took part in the international conference "Path to social justice: decent work" held in Yerevan.

The event was also attended by the chairman of the Arab Gulf Program for Development and the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, Vice President of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, other international guests, representatives of the state administration system.

Prime Minister Pashinyan gave a speech, welcomed the participants of the conference dedicated to social justice, which, according to the Prime Minister, is one of the most important topics of the modern world. "Naturally, social justice is extremely important for every Government and society, and of course, this is a topic that has all kinds of layers," said Nikol Pashinyan and spoke about the most fundamental, most important factor of social justice, which, according to the Prime Minister, also answers the question of what needs to be done, what conditions need to be provided to make social justice possible; "In my opinion, and perhaps this is shown by our Government's research, in order to make social justice possible, it is necessary to ensure access to education for all, because it is difficult to imagine social justice without fair access to education, because all the problems that arise in the field of social justice, a large number of them are related to access to education or quality of education. Perhaps it is important to emphasize that education should be understood here in a wider context, because the most important component is the set of skills and abilities to manage one's life, the cornerstone of which, of course, is laid first of all in the field of general education., on its accessibility and quality".

According to Nikol Pashinyan, even today there are problems in this field in our country, as in many countries of the world, when education or quality education is not equally accessible to everyone. And this is perhaps one of the most important problems that the Government is trying to solve. "Here, our plan to build, reconstruct or overhaul 500 kindergartens, 300 schools and, as a continuation of it, the "Academic City" project, are aimed at solving this problem. And I want to emphasize that these topics are also directly related to the issue of women's involvement," said the Prime Minister, and in this context emphasized the role of kindergartens, the lack of which is an obstacle for women in terms of engaging in their education and developing their skills.

The Prime MInister also emphasized the role of kindergartens as the first level of education, which instills in children at the molecular level the opportunities that will be used in later life. Not underestimating the government's policy in the areas of social justice and work, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the component of education at every level is very important.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the conceptual perceptions that are being attempted to be introduced in the policies being conducted. "Being a post-Soviet state, it is very important to clearly distinguish between social equality and social justice, because the concept of social equality is a different concept, and the concept of social justice is completely different. The concept of social justice implies that a person should establish his well-being through his own work. And the level of his well-being should be directly related to the content, quality, productivity and fairness of his work," the Prime Minister said. Nikol Pashinyan added that in his opinion, the state's social policies should be aimed at supporting people, citizens, so that they can be more efficient, more productive in their work and generally more competitive in the labor market, that is, to have greater access to skills ensuring their own well-being.

The Head of State also referred to those social groups in which the above formula cannot work for objective reasons, for example, social groups with functional limitations, health problems. In this context, the Prime Minister noted that the policies conducted by governments are directly related to how effective the policies in the field of social justice are, i.e. how effectively the society as a whole works, how much they will generate output, and finally, taxes, state revenues.

The Prime Minister once again welcomed the holding of the conferance in the Republic of Armenia, because, according to Nikol Pashinyan, the issues discussed within the framework of the forum are on the priority list of the Government of Armenia.

Summarizing his speech, Nikol Pashinyan once again thanked the attendees for their participation and wished success to the conference.
