A consultation was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which issues related to the agricultural insurance were discussed.
The officials of the sector presented the existing problems, the challenges of ensuring the continuity of rural insurance, proposed solutions for them. In particular, the importance of introducing new standards for damage assessment, training and qualification of experts in the field was emphasized. In the context of having a developed rural insurance system, the necessity of introducing statistical infrastructures and building trust in the system was also emphasized.
Summarizing the meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the implementation of concrete and effective works aimed at the development of the sector. According to the Prime Minister, it is clear that the insurance system should promote the development of agriculture. The Prime Minister emphasized once again that in order to effectively manage the sector, the decision-makers should have direct contact with the beneficiaries, get to know the problems on the ground.
The Prime Minister instructed to carry out consistent work in the direction of the raised issues, taking into account the problems and recommendations presented during the consultation.
