Today, a regular Cabinet meeting was held, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
By the government decision, another amount was allocated for the implementation of subsidy programs. Accordingly, it is planned to allocate 2 billion 43 million 744 thousand AMD from the 2024 budget to the regional administrations of the Republic of Armenia. The decision provides for financing 29 subsidy programs in 20 communities. The minister also reported that in 2024, 22 billion AMD of co-financing was allocated from the state budget for subsidies.
By the Government decision, Eduard Hakobyan was appointed Chairman of the State Revenue Committee. By another decision, Artur Poghosyan was appointed Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia for a term of six years.
The Government submitted a proposal on the bill of the Republic of Armenia “On amendments and additions to the Law on the Anthem of the Republic of Armenia”. The Government approved the proposal, which will be submitted to the National Assembly Staff in accordance with the established procedure. The parliamentary initiative, which was put into circulation by the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora and Sports Sisak Gabrielyan, and the Deputy of the same committee Taguhi Ghazaryan, was presented at the Cabinet meeting by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Daniel Danielyan. The bill proposes to establish one official version of the anthem of the Republic of Armenia.
The anthem will be posted on the website of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and other official platforms to ensure public access.
The Government has adopted a decision to amend the Road Traffic Rules and the conditions of malfunctions prohibiting the operation of vehicles. The current road traffic rules do not include the requirement to drive with winter tires, therefore, it is proposed to add new conditions to the list of malfunctions and conditions prohibiting the operation of vehicles in the road traffic rules, in the presence of which the operation of vehicles will be prohibited. In particular, the operation of a vehicle will be prohibited if, from November 15 to March 31 inclusive, winter tires are not installed on light passenger cars and trucks with a maximum permissible mass of up to 3.5 tons. Violation of the envisaged requirements will be subject to liability measures established by the Code of Administrative Offenses. The decision will enter into force on December 10, 2024.
