The Prime Minister receives IMF Mission Chief for Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Iva Petrova, the Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Armenia, who is completing her term as the Chief of Mission. The meeting was also attended by Alexander Tieman, who will assume the position of the Chief of the IMF Mission for Armenia.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation with the IMF in contributing to the development of the economy in our country. Nikol Pashinyan noted that in the first quarter of this year, the trends of economic activity are maintained and the Government's steps are aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth.

The interlocutors discussed the results of the 5th review of the program being implemented in cooperation between Armenia and the IMF. In this regard, the parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the program and referred to further steps.

The sides exchanged views on the financial sector, improvement of the investment environment, promotion of economic activity, overcoming existing risks, and other issues.
