Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Syunik region continues

On April 12, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continued his visit to Syunik region.

On the second day of his visit to the region, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the reconstruction works of the Meghri border checkpoint. The project, the total cost of which is 25.8 million euros, is being implemented with the loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, EU assistance grants, and co-financing from the Government of the Republic of Armenia. Construction works started in September 2023, completion is scheduled for 2026. As a result, a new customs border checkpoint in accordance with international standards will be created.

Next, the Prime Minister visited the “Zangezur” biosphere complex site of the Eco-Patrol Service of the Ministry of Environment. It was noted that in the cities of Kapan, Goris and the settlement of Shvanidzor, renovation works were carried out in 3 departments of the Syunik regional department of the Eco-Patrol Service, for which more than 70 million AMD were allocated.

Nikol Pashinyan also visited the settlement of Nrnadzor in the Meghri community, talked with the locals, and answered their questions. It was noted that the construction of the road to Nrnadzor is already underway. Construction works of the new kindergarten in the settlement have also started.
