Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Abhijit Banerjee, a Nobel laureate in economics and one of the world's leading economists.

The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Banerjee’s visit to Armenia and highlighted the importance of cooperation in areas such as policy development and the assessment of program impacts. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government of Armenia is implementing large-scale reforms spanning all sectors. In this context, he emphasized the need for active dialogue and the exchange of experience between various government bodies, the Central Bank, and Abhijit Banerjee.

Abhijit Banerjee expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and stated his readiness to expand cooperation with Armenian partners to advance the reforms more effectively. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues regarding future cooperation.
