Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the official opening ceremony of the Juventus Academy Armenia and the Freedom Arena stadium.

Nikol Pashinyan toured the newly opened academy and sports complex, familiarizing himself with the sports infrastructure and facilities established to foster the development of football in Armenia.

Details were presented regarding the investments and the construction. Construction began in 2025; as a result of an investment of approximately $20 million, two modern sports facilities have been built in Yerevan, while the construction of a third is being launched today in the "Bosco Welltown" neighborhood of the Nor Hachn community in the Kotayk region. The multifunctional "Freedom Arena" meets UEFA Category 2 standards and is designed to host not only football matches but also other sporting and non-sporting events. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 2,000. The complex will also house "Medicina Dello Sport," Armenia's first specialized sports-medical clinic and rehabilitation center.

The Avan sports facility features accommodation for coaches and children in need of it, a gym, medical examination and rehabilitation zones, an analysis room equipped with state-of-the-art technology, a retail outlet, and other infrastructure. The building was constructed in accordance with modern "green building" standards, utilizing solar panels, water-saving systems, and hypoallergenic materials and paints. High-quality natural and artificial turf pitches have been constructed at the sports complexes, along with fields featuring organic-infill artificial turf for young children and an indoor pitch.
