School bus service launched in the regions

New school buses, acquired to transport students to newly constructed educational facilities, were showcased at Republic Square. Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan inspected the buses and reviewed their features and safety standards.

Thus, within the framework of the program to ensure access to quality educational services, full readiness of road infrastructure and the operation of school bus services will be secured for the transportation of students to newly constructed schools.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of traffic safety and ensuring the qualifications and proper appearance, including attire, of drivers transporting children.

Under the program, the aforementioned mechanisms will soon be operational for five settlements. It is planned that children from the Getap settlement in the Aragatsotn region will attend Aragatsavan Secondary School No. 1; children from Tsapatagh in the Gegharkunik region will attend Jil Secondary School; children from Acharkut in the Tavush region will attend Kirants School; children from Aknaghbyur in the Tavush region will attend Lusadzor School; and children from Tigranashen in the Ararat region will attend the Paruyr Sevak Educational Complex.

Thirteen children study at the Getap school; the distance to Aragatsavan is 9.5 km, and the travel time is 11 minutes. Twenty-seven children study at the Tsapatagh school; the distance to Jil is 10.6 km, and the travel time is 9 minutes. Currently, no children attend the Tigranashen school; 11 children attend the Paruyr Sevak educational complex. The distance to Paruyr Sevak is 4 km, and the travel time is 10 minutes. Ten children attend the Acharkut school. The distance to Kirants is 2.8 km, and the travel time is 4 minutes. Forty-two children attend the Aknaghbyur school (including 6 in the preschool group). The distance to Lusadzor is 5 km, and the travel time is 10 minutes.
