Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence message to President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China over the heavy rainfall-caused devastating floods which claimed numerous casualties and great destruction in Henan province. The message reads, in part:

“Excellency,

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and on my own behalf, I offer my most profound condolences to you and to the friendly Chinese people in connection with the heavy rainfall-caused devastating floods which claimed numerous casualties and great destruction in Henan province.

I wish fortitude and endurance to victims’ families and friends. I am confident that the Chinese government will be able to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster within the shortest possible deadlines.”
