Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence message to the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron on the devastating storm that struck the French overseas department of Mayotte. The message reads:
“Dear Mr. President, dear Emmanuel,
I learned with deep sorrow about the devastating storm that struck the French overseas department of Mayotte, which caused numerous casualties and enormous destruction.
On this day of national mourning for the French people, I express my condolences and support to the families and loved ones of the victims of the disaster, and I wish all the injured strength and a speedy recovery.
In this difficult moment of grief, Armenia and the Armenian people stand with the friendly French people and the people of Mayotte. I am convinced that thanks to the decisive actions taken by France the grave consequences of this natural disaster will be quickly overcome''.
