Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong on the country’s National Day. The congratulatory message reads, in part:

“Excellency,

I cordially congratulate you and the friendly people of Singapore on the National Day of the Republic of Singapore.

Armenia shares the values - effective economic policy, democracy and the rule of law - that promoted your country’s rise and helped enhance its international standing. I am convinced that Singapore will boast ever new achievements under your experienced guidance.

I have kept fond recollections of our meetings held two years ago in Singapore and Armenia. Unfortunately, our joint programs failed to be completed due to the global pandemic and the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against the civilian populations of Armenia and Artsakh in the fall of 2020. However, Armenia is taking steps to meet these challenges and is firmly determined to implement the ongoing reforms with the support of partner countries.

Armenia and Singapore boast deep-rooted friendly relations and great cooperation potential. Education, tourism, information technologies, artificial intelligence and other spheres of mutual interest may be promising in this respect.

I hereby express my readiness to make every effort to develop our cooperation potential in order to deepen and further expand the existing political, economic and cultural ties.

I wish you good health and every success, as well as peace and prosperity – to the friendly people of Singapore.”
