Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, on the occasion of the national holiday, Independence Day. The message reads as follows,

"Please, accept my sincere congratulations to you and the friendly people of the Republic of Iraq on the occasion of Iraq's national holiday, Independence Day.

I fondly recall our meeting in Munich in February of this year and the fruitful discussions, which were the evidence of the high-level political contacts between Armenia and Iraq. I also attach great importance to the convening of the meeting of the Armenian-Iraqi intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation this year and the protocol signed based on its results. I am confident that with the full implementation of the provisions of this protocol, which outlines new ways and opportunities for deepening Armenian-Iraqi cooperation, the Armenian-Iraqi relations will enter a new, more dynamic stage of development.

On the occasion of the Independence Day, I wish you good health and happiness, and lasting peace and well-being to the people of Iraq."
